Neck and neck fight seen on last day of campaign
Mahbubnagar: The final day of election campaign in Mahbubnagar and Nagarkurnool witnessed a neck and neck competition among the MP candidates of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in erstwhile Mahbubnagar district on Tuesday.
While the TRS MP contestant Manne Srinivas Reddy along with Excise Minister Srinivas Goud took out a huge rally with members of Mahbubnagar Municipality Hamalis Association from Hamali Sangam office to Clock Tower centre in the district and called upon the unity of Hamalis to support Manne. He said after the elections he would ensure all the issues pertaining to the Hamalis are resolved. "Our livelihood is Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project. For this mega project to get national project tag, all the hamalis must unite and support the TRS MP candidate. Each and every MP seat is important, if TRS wins 16 MP seats from Telangana it will enable our Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao help the formation of Central government and in turn help Telangana State get its due share of funds and projects from the Central government," observed Srinvias Goud, while addressing the Hamalis.
BPJ candidate DK Aruna took out a rally in Mahbubnagar headquarters and took on aggressively on Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for fooling people once again for the sake of votes. "These elections are not for the State. These are for the formation of Central government. But KCR is misleading people as if he and his party would form the government at the Centre. Is it possible to form a government with just 16 MP seats? What have you done when the Telangana people gave 14 MP seats last time? Nothing. So, I urge the people not to waste their vote by voting for TRS as it would go waste and instead support the BJP led by Narendra Modi for a secure, safe and stable government at the Centre," said Aruna.
In Nagarkurnool, Gosha Mahal MLA Raja Singh also took part in a bike rally and campaigned in support of BJP MP candidate Bangaru Shruti from Nagarkurnool Parliamentary constituency. While speaking on the occasion, Raja Singh said TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao's promises and his talks were unreliable and people should not believe them.
"KCR is a cleaver politician. He changes his stance every second. What he talks in the morning forgets by evening and comes out with a new idea and new game plan just to fool people. But people are not fools, and they will teach him a befitting lesson in the LS elections," said Raja Singh. He urged the youth, men women and farmers to support BJP candidate and vote for BJP and make Narendra Modi PM for the second time.
In Wanaparthy district, the TRS party took out an all women rally. More than 2,000 women took part in the rally organised by Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy's wife Singireddy Vasanthi. Speaking on the occasion, Vasanthi urged people to vote for TRS MP candidate P Ramulu and help him win with a thumping majority.
On the other hand, Congress star campaigner Vijayashanti also took out a rally in support of Congress MP candidate from Nagarkurnool Mallu Ravi in Nagarkurnool district and urged the people to vote for Congress and help the poor get the minimum support promised by the Congress.
