Narayanpet to launch month-long Haritha Haram from Aug 6

Narayanpet: Narayanpet Collector S Venkat Rao released the schedule for the month-long Haritha Haram programme in the district on Friday. Earlier, the district administration had decided to go for a week-long plantation programme by involving schoolchildren, teachers and others in a big way. However, as the district has been receiving good rains, the Collector has extended this programme for a month.

Accordingly, a detailed scheduled has been released for the programme. As per the schedule, soon after the conclusion of 'Balala Haritha Haram which would be in force till August 6, the district administration will launch the month-long Udyoga Haritha Haram, wherein the officials of every department will take part.

While the revenue department will launch the programme on August 6, Health department will take it up the next day i.e., on August 7. It will be followed by Police department on August 8, Intermediate Education Officials on 9, district court officials on 10, Commercial Tax department on 11 and District Public Relations department on August 12.

"We have decided to take up the Harithahaaram programme seriously and want to make it a big success by roping in all the department officials. Accordingly, we have designed a schedule and would be launching the month-long programme," informed the Collector.
