In Narayanpet, District Collector S Venkat Rao, inaugurated the sports competition by lighting a lamp at the district mini-stadium and later, wished all the best to the participants. However, Collector observed that there was a very low turnout of students for the sports competition, and directed the concerned sports and youth welfare department of the district to take all necessary steps to encourage more students take part in the competitions. "These kinds of competitions help the differently-abled students improve their inner strength and gives them more encouragement to do better. They can do miracles and can perform much better than the normal children if given chances," observed the Collector.

He, later, added that very soon Narayanpet district would have a regular sports officer and he would do what all was necessary for improving the sports in the district and would ensure all facilities provided to sportspersons. Later, the Collector inspected the Kasturba Gandhi Balikala Vidyalaya in the district headquarters and enquired with the students about various facilities provided to them.

In Wanaparthy district, Zilla Parishad chairman Loknath Reddy inaugurated the district-level sports competition for the differently-abled children. Similar events were also organised in Gadwal, Mahbubnagar and Nagarkurnool districts, where the department of Women and Child Welfare conducted various programmes for the differently-abled children.
