Kondangal: On receiving complaints from some farmers that the Village Revenue Officials (VROs) are not informing them about various government programmes and they are also harassing the farmers by not giving the Pattadar land passbooks, Kodangal MLA Patnam Narender Reddy took serious note on the issue and warned that if any VRO is found harassing farmers or if found taking bribe for doing government related favours, he would initiate immediate action against such persons.

"Of late, we have been receiving large number of complaints relating to delay in issuance of land pass books to farmers. Particularly the farmers are complaining against the VROs of harassment and not informing about the issuance of land passbooks and other related information to the farmers. This is a serious matter. The VROs must serve the people of their concerned village. They must inform the farmers about new government programmes and about new changes in the revenue department from time to time by conducting meetings. If we get to know that if any VRO is caught involved in taking bribe or any untoward favour against the law and against the rules, we will not spare and take strict action," warned Patnam Narander Reddy.

The MLA handed over the pattadar land pass books to all those farmers who got the new pass books at Mandal Revenue Office in Kodangal.
