Ministers and revenue officials have strongly condemned the brutal murder of Revenue officer Vijaya Reddy on Monday.
Hyderabad: Ministers and revenue officials have strongly condemned the brutal murder of Revenue officer Vijaya Reddy on Monday.
Telangana State Ministers and Revenue Employees Association strongly condemned the inhuman attack on the Tahsildar in the latter's office at Abdullapurmet in the Greater Hyderabad limits on Monday.
Tribal Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod expressed anguish over the incident and instructed the officials concerned to take a stringent action against the culprit. She wanted nobody should be spared for such gruesome act.
Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy termed the attack on a woman official as barbaric.
State Forest, Law and Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy and Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy also condemned the attack on the Revenue official Vijaya Reddy who succumbed to burn injuries.
As a mark of protest, the Revenue Employees Association called for a boycott of duties in the State soon after the incident.
The revenue employees were also asked to attend the last rites of the victim. The association will hold a meeting in Hyderabad on Tuesday to finalise action plan to protect the officials from such
attacks in future.
Telangana Employees Association leader Padma Chary demanded the government to provide protection to government employees at the work places.
He appealed to the people to maintain restraint and said such attacks on officials will demoralise the entire workforce.
