Medak: Collector Dharma Reddy says Expand greenery in parks

Medak: District Collector Dharma Reddy directed the officials concerned and people's representatives to take necessary steps to plant saplings in parks. As part of 'Pattana Pragathi' programme, he toured along with local leaders in the housing board in ward 4 here on Tuesday.

He interacted with the residents of the ward and enquired about their issues. He expressed anger on seeing garbage on fire. He pulled up officials saying there was no change despite a huge campaign on segregation of waste. He warned of severe action if things of the sort repeat. The Collector ordered the officials to erect fencing around the parks to protect the plantation. Municipal chairman Chandra Pala, commissioner Srihari, local councilor and others were present.
