Mecca Masjid witness thousands of people. If the religious activities are resumed at these places, it is very difficult to control the people as many turn up to offer prayers, said Abdul Khadeer Siddiqui, superintendent of Mecca Masjid. Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the state, the gathering of people might worsen the situation, he added.

Siddiqui continued that he has written to the state government to clarify the resumption of religious activities at these mosques. Once the government gives clarity on it, the people will be allowed inside the mosque, he said.

Also, Shahi Masjid management will be not allowing the general public to hold prayers. However, the prayers will be continued with a few persons. Mosques, temples and other religious places across the state have been re-opened today after three months as a part of unlock 1.0.
