Marpaka Nagaraju and his brother Ashok had been at loggerheads over sharing of their ancestral house for some time. Against this backdrop, Nagaraju, who lives in Karimnagar, visited the village on Thursday to exercise his franchise.
An altercation ensued between the two brothers over sharing of their property on Friday morning. Soon it turned into fisticuffs. Ashok stabbed his elder brother Nagaraju to death with a broken beer bottle. The police registered a case. After the incident, Ashok absconded from the village.
