Minister for IT and Industries KT Rama Rao directed Telangana DGP Mahender Reddy to take stern action against the accused in actress Meera Chopra's case. The minister said that he has requested the police to take action as per law based on her complaint.

The actress in a tweet to KTR has complained that she was threatened of gangrape and acid attack. Based on the actress's complaint, the Hyderabad city police have lodged a complaint and launched an investigation.

Meera Chopra in her tweet also tagged MP Kavitha hoping for the safety of women will be investigated thoroughly. She was subjected to Cyberbullying on Twitter by the persons claiming to be the fans of Junior NTR after she said in an interaction with her fans that she had not worked with him and was not his fan.

The Hyderabad cybercrime police registered a case and are investigating.
