Khammam student dies due to short circuit in hostel

A student died and two others fell sick after a short circuit occurred at the hostel which further engulfed in a cloud of thick smoke.

Spandana, who was residing at SC girls hostel in Khammam suffered from asphyxiation and died while taking to hospital. However, two other students who fell sick are undergoing treatment.

All the girls inside the hostel were taken out of the hostel. The short circuit is learned to have occurred due to heavy rain.
