Khammam: Officials told to speed up Mission Bhagiratha works
Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar has reviewed the development works of Khammam town, at the Collectorate on Wednesday along with District Collector RV Karnan and Khammam Mayor Papalal.
Khammam: Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar has reviewed the development works of Khammam town, at the Collectorate on Wednesday along with District Collector RV Karnan and Khammam Mayor Papalal.
Addressing the officials, the Minister informed though Rs 600 crore were sanctioned for Mission Bhagiratha and other development works in the district, the works were going on at a tardy pace. The Minister directed the officials to speed up works and complete them in the stipulated time. He also asked the officers to give proposals for the development of Lakaram tank bund.
The Minister, while reviewing the roads and building works with the engineers, directed them to complete the works that were promised by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao immediately.
District Collector RV Karnan asked the officials to speed up works and informed that every week, a review meeting would be conducted to discuss the progress of various works.
Khammam Municipal Commissioner J Srinivas Rao, Roads and Buildings department Executive Engineer Shyam Prasad, department officials Sri Ram, Ranjiv Kumar, Ramesh, Narasimha Rao, Arjun, Praveena and others attended the review meeting.
