Mahbubnagar: The Communist Party of India (CPI) members from Mahbubnagar alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao completely ruined the state economically by spending the funds for wasteful purposes like Yagnams and Yagas.
While speaking at a CPI flag post inaugural function at Veerannapet in Mahbubnagar district on Friday, CPI district secretary Paramesh Goud alleged that because of wrong economic policies of TRS government today economic condition of the State has gone into doldrums.
From being a surplus State when it was formed in 2014, today the state has become a debt-ridden State with more than Rs 3 lakh crore of debt, which accounts to a per capita debt of Rs. 50,000 on the head of each individual in the State.
"The Telangana Chief Minister has ruined the State by spending funds as per his whims and fancies for Yagnams and Yagas and to other unproductive purposes. Crores of rupees of public money have been wasted by the Chief Minister which has gone into drain causing great losses to the State's economy."
"Though the government had allocated huge sums of funds for Palamuru Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation project, the government could not even spend 30 per cent of its allocation to the project and is deliberately delaying it.
I am questioning the TRS leaders of this district, in spite of government giving large funds for the project, why have they failed to utilise it. The TRS leaders in Mahbubnagar have completely failed to utilise the opportunity and today the state government is cutting funds for various projects in the district on pretext of economic slowdown," said Paramesh Goud.
The CPI district secretary further said that the State government in the name of establishing an Information Technology park (IT Park) in Mahbubnagar had acquired hundreds of acres of land from the farmers and troubled many poor farmers but even though it is more than 2-3 years there has been nothing happening except the local leaders are minting money in the name of real-estate business showing the IT park as a bait to the customers.
"The TRS government has completely failed to fulfil its promises of providing unemployment aid to the youth, dumped the IT park project to bins and there is no talk of jobs and employment to the educated students.
Overall the TRS government during its 6 years of rule has completely ruined the State and made it a beggar State from an economically surplus State, due to wrong economic policies. KCR is ruling the state as a Tuglak king and not heeding to the problems of farmers, unemployed and those in distress in the State," alleged the CPI secretary.
