KCR ensured irrigation water to lakhs of acres: KTR
With the commitment of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with the support extended by the engineers, lakhs of acres getting water for irrigation needs, said IT Minister and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao.
Sircilla: With the commitment of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with the support extended by the engineers, lakhs of acres getting water for irrigation needs, said IT Minister and Sircilla MLA KT Rama Rao.
Along with Agriculture Minister Niranjan Reddy and State Planning Commission Vice-President Boinapalli Vinod Kumar, KTR on Tuesday visited Rajanna Sircilla district to participate in various developmental activities.
Speaking on the occasion, IT Minister KT Rama Rao said TRS is the only party in the history of 75 years, which is giving 24-hour power supply to farmers. There is no problem of current, seeds and water in the State, that's why the farmers are cultivating the crops in record level, he said.
Unlike any other State government, after the formation of Telangana State, the CM had introduced Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima schemes for the welfare of farming sector. By establishing purchasing centres in each village during the lockdown period, the TRS government purchased food grains from the farmers.
Minister KTR informed that seven agriculture extension officers will be recruited in Sircilla district and it is these officers' responsibility to explain to the farmers about which crop they should cultivate in which type of land and the crops which could yield maximum benefits, in the next two months.
CM KCR is working hard for the farmers' welfare unlike any other Chief Ministers present across the country. Opposition parties are making unnecessary allegation against the ruling TRS, which always stood with farmers and will never let injustice done to them.
Agriculture Minister Niranjan Reddy said that the credit of bringing reforms in current and agricultural sector goes to the TRS government. The government is investing Rs 60 crore every year on farming sector. Groundwater levels have increased enormously in Sircilla district. He asked the farmers to follow the suggestions of agricultural officials on crops to be cultivated and adopt new agricultural policy. Growing of red gram and oil palm are better in Sircilla district. He assured the farmers that all the produce will be purchased at MSP through Markfed.
