Karimnagar: The member of Telangana State Child Rights Commission, H Shoba Rani advised the parents to fulfill the needs of their adopted children and treat them like their own children.
Shoba Rani participated in a meeting organised with the parents who have adopted children from child homes. Interacting with the parents, Shoba Rani learned about their experiences after they adopted the children.
Parents informed her that they were living happily as their bonding with the relatives and neighbours increased after adopting the children from child homes. "We are getting the feeling as if they are our own children," informed some of the parents who adopted the children.
Speaking on the occasion, Shoba Rani advised the parents to find out needs of the children and try to resolve all their issues to keep them happy along with nourishing them properly and to provide high standard education.
If they have any major issues with their adopted child, then take the help of officials of ICPS (Integrated Child Protection Service) and give counseling to the children, she suggested.
Later, for creating awareness about the Beti Bachavo- Beti Padhavo programme, Shoba Rani released a gas balloon from the building of Karimnagar Bus Station and distributed gifts to the adopted children.
District Welfare Officer Sharada, Coordinator of Beti Bachavo-Beti Padhao programme Saraswathi, District Child Protection Officer Parveen and others were present.
