Karimnagar: With more than one month left to check their luck in the Lok Sabha elections, which was locked in EVMs, the three contestants from Karimnagar LS constituency are assessing their winning chances and margin of votes they are going to get with their cadre.
Almost all persons in political circles in the united Karimnagar district are discussing about their party candidates and the majority of votes they would be getting against their opponent. But the TRS is confident of getting bumper majority of five lakhs votes.
It is to be reminded here that sitting MP Boinapalli Vinod Kumar from TRS and TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar from Congress and BJP State official spokesperson Bandi Sanjay Kumar had contested for Karimnagar Lok Sabha seat in the first phase of Parliament elections held on April 11. The voting percentage was recorded as 68%, which is less compared to previous LS polls held in 2014.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who started poll campaigning from Karimnagar, had appealed the people to give bumper majority to TRS LS candidate B Vinod Kumar so that the entire nation should be surprised by seeing the majority which Vinod Kumar will get from Karimnagar Parliament segment.
Meanwhile, TRS working president KT Rama Rao also appealed the party activists at a meeting held in Karimnagar to strive hard to get five lakh majority votes to B Vinod Kumar.
About 18 Lok Sabha elections were held for Karimnagar Parliament segment from the time of its formation, i.e., from 1952 to 2014. Out of this, on seven occasions candidates won against their opponents with more than one lakh majority.
