Karimnagar: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is helping the people of various sections by introducing several welfare schemes. People must utilise them and develop economically, said BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar.
He attended as a chief guest and distributed Bathukamma sarees to women at Kisan Nagar Colony in Karimnagar city on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Kamalakar said that with lot of affection towards the women present across the State and to make them celebrate Bathukamma festival on a grand note, the TRS government is distributing Bathukamma sarees as a gift to the women. The CK is treating the women of Telangana as his own sisters, hence distributing sarees on this festival, which will be celebrated on a grand note in Telangana.
The Congress leaders, who do not know the value of a gift, had burnt Bathukamma sarees that were distributed in the past. That's why God taught them a fitting lesson, who lost the last elections at many places. People should not burn the Bahtukamma sarees that were distributed to them, Kamalakar appealed.
The MLA said that the CM had introduced several welfare schemes for the sake of women and will introduce some more schemes in the days to come. This time elaborate arrangements will be made for celebration the Bathukamma festival grandly in the district and across the State, he said.
