The officials of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Wednesday fined two people of Rs 1 lakh each for throwing construction debris on road here at Miyapur.

The GHMC officials noticed the debris on the road which is causing inconvenience to the public and enquired about the incident. They further warned to take stern action against those who are violating the norms.

Earlier, two people fined of Rs 40,000 for littering on road. Ravinder Reddy from Chandanagar was asked to pay Rs 30,000 for throwing construction waste on the road while a liquor shop at Moosapet was fined of Rs 10,000 for the same reason.

The fine is being collected under section 119 of the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Act, 1955.
