Nampally: Telangana State Wakf Board (TSWB) chairman Mohammed Saleem and Chief Executive Officer Mohammed Qasim held a meeting with officers of revenue, municipal and police departments of Ranga Reddy and Vikarabad districts at TSWB office in Nampally. The meeting discussed the protection of waqf properties and removal of illegal encroachments.
Further, the meeting discussed the prime properties which were encroached in the district like 228 acres of Dargah Saif Nawaz Jung at Mamidipally (V) Balapur, 490 acres of Ashoor Khana Ali Saad at Mamidipally (V) Balapur, 2,131 acres and 38 guntas land under Dargah Baba Sharifuddin Pahadishareef and its attached Land, 90 acres under Masjid-e-Alamgir and Eidgah at Guttalabegumpet, 1,293 acres and 9 guntas of Dargah Maqdoom Biyabani at Aloor Chevella, 22.25 acres of Ashoor Khana at Pudur in Vikarabad district, 5 acre and 11 guntas of Ashoor Khana Imama Qasim at Dharoor in Vikarabad and many more.
Mohammed Saleem said that the district consisted of very prime land and hundreds of acres were under the encroachment, the land mafia was making illegal pattas of the land. He requested the revenue authorities not to issue pattas in favour of individuals and all the waqf land pattas to be issued in the name of waqf institutions like Dargah/Masjid/Graveyard etc. And requested to cancel the illegal pattas if any were issued in the name of individuals and registration of waqf property on individuals should be cancelled.
Chairman said that as per the law, a waqf property always remains under waqf and it cannot be sold, purchased, mortgaged or alienated, these properties should be registered in the name of waqf institutions. He requested the police officers to book criminal cases against the illegal encroachers, and assured that for removal of illegal encroachment, Waqf Board would take all necessary steps.
Vikarabad Additional Collector S Motilal, DSP Vikarabad A Sanjeeve Rao, ACP Cyberabad S Ravi Kumar, ACP Vanasthalipuram S Jaya Ram, ADO Rajendranagar P Amar Jyothi Tala, Tahsildar Rajendranagar K Chandra Shekar Goud, ACP Municipal Malkajgiri Md Khaleel, Inspector Balapur B Bhaskar and other officers were among those present.
