Hyderabad: Rally condemns lathi-charge

Malkajgiri: In response to the call given by the state ABVP for boycotting classes in protest against the brutal lathi-charge of ABVP activists who participated in 'Chalo Assembly' protest condemning low priority being given to education sector, students in various colleges in Malkajgiri boycotted classes and took out a rally from ECIL to Malkajgiri on Friday. Police prevented student activists from taking the rally and arrested them.

Speaking on the occasion, ABVP leaders criticised the TRS government and termed the rule as dictatorial. Students were lathi-charged brutally for demanding more funds to education sector, they said. They demanded the state government to increase budget allocations to the education sector.
