Dharna Chowk: The BJP cell of retired teachers and employees staged protest here on Wednesday, demanding that the state government constitute the pay revision commission. BJP state president Dr K Lakshman and MLC Ramachandra Rao visited the protest site and expressed their solidarity with employees. Chairman of the state cell and MLC Mohan Reddy presided the program.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Lakshman lambasted the TRS government for delaying the implementation of PRC to government employees. He lamented that senior citizens were forced to come out to protest due to anti-employee policies of the government.

He warned TRS party that the government would be rooted out for ignoring senior citizens. "If you have KCR as 'Bahubali, he would be countered with 'Modi Brahmastra," he commented.

Dr Lakshman said that TRS party should remember that Telangana employees played a key role in the Telangana movement. He alleged that the state government has neglected welfare of employees. "While KCR's family has become a golden family, employees and those who fought for Telangana have been ignored," he said.

He accused the state government of threatening employees who question it, with suspensions and ACB raids. He promised employees that the BJP would continue to support them in their fight against government to achieve PRC. He also condemned the government for its failure to control unemployment in the state.
