Hyderabad: Much to the relief of the Field Assistants of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme, the government has relaxed the norms of their service making way for continuation of their service in next financial year.
It has given relaxation in terms of the works to be created to the job card holders to continue them for the next year. Under NREG the field assistants are required to provide minimum work to the wage seekers. Based on their performance of the current year their services would be continued in the next year.
In the order giving relaxation the Rural Development department said that the annual contractual period of the Field Assistant in this FY was from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.
The contract of Field Assistant would be renewed for the subsequent year subject to fulfillment of minimum performance. The government has examined the representations being made by the FAs and decided to take a lenient view and ordered for revision of minimum performance parameters.
Field Assistants under first category who have provided wage employment of 30 and above average days to the active job card holders continued in the same category. The monthly remuneration to the category - 1 FAs would be Rs 10,000 per month.
The FAs who have provided from 29 to 20 average days to job card holders would be placed in category -2 and they would be provided monthly remuneration of Rs 9,000.
