Hyderabad: More Vijaya Dairy outlets in the offing

Hyderabad: The Minister for animal husbandry, dairy, fisheries and cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav announced that several new outlets of Vijaya Dairy will be set up to increase access to Vijaya Dairy products. On Wednesday, the minister, along with special chief secretary of Animal Husbandry Adhar Sinha, Director Lakshma Reddy, Vijaya Dairy MD Srinivas Rao and Rangareddy district DAVAHO Vijay Kumar Reddy, inspected the veterinary centre at Madhapur.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that there is a lot of demand for the products of Vijay Dairy but the outlets are limited to a few areas of the city. To take the products to consumers more effectively, it was decided to establish new outlets of the company, he said. A new outlet would be established beside veterinary center in Madhapur to provide access to the company products in Madhapur area, he added. He said that the company had witnessed a tremendous growth after the formation of new state as TRS government had taken several steps to promote the company. Measures were also being taken to increase the production capacity of the company and the unit at Tarnaka would be upgraded to mega dairy unit, he said. Special measures were also being taken to increase milk collections, he said. The minister said that animal husbandry department had provided veterinary services at dairy farms to increase milk production in the state. Animal husbandry and dairy officials were instructed to work with coordination to improve milk collections, he said. Vijay Dairy had sold its products worth Rs 18 lakh at the recently held Medaram Jatara and similarly sold products worth Rs 40 lakh at its stall in Numaish, he said.
