Hyderabad man demands dowry to marry girlfriend, booked

A man was booked for allegedly demanding dowry from his girlfriend to marry her here at Filmnagar.

According to the Banjara Hills police, Lakshman is in a relationship with a woman for two years now. When she asked to marry her, he demanded Rs 10 lakh dowry from the woman.

Depressed over it, the woman attempted suicide and was shifted to a hospital by her family members. She is currently undergoing treatment.

Based on the woman's complaint, the police registered a case and are looking out for the accused.
