Hyderabad: State BJP on Tuesday paid rich tributes to Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) founder Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his death anniversary.

Speaking on the occasion, senior party leaders and former Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao said the party will continue to get inspiration from the integral humanism, an ideology propounded by Deendayal Upadhyaya and it will continue to inspire the rank and file of the party.

He said despite ideological differences the BJS founder had joined hands with the socialist leader Rammanohar Lokhia on the issue of India-Pakistan federation issue.

"It might surprise others who are talking about the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). But, his ideology spans from individual to that of the world, reflecting the notion of the whole world as one family," he said.

Rao said that the ideals of Upadhyaya have made the BJP government at the Centre to give an honest and transparent government to the people in the country.

JP State president Dr K Laxman, BJP MLC N Ramchander Rao, other leaders, party workers were among those offered floral tributes to the BJS founder at a ceremony organised at the State party office here.
