Amberpet: Residents of Krishna Nagar Basti of Amberpet division and CPM staged a protest on Monday opposing the construction of flyover through the colony. BJP leader Kanne Ramesh Yadav participated in the protest and extended his support to it.

Speaking on the occasion, CPM Amberpet in-charge Mahender said condemned issue of eviction notices without any prior information. He termed the government act as undemocratic and atrocious. He suggested that the government can construct the flyover in the adjoining Musi riverbed. He demanded the government to withdraw its decision to construct the flyover through the colony and warned of serious consequences if the government moves ahead with its decision.

Among those who participated in the protest were Yadaiah, Narsing Rao, Chenneshwar, Noorullah Khan, Mohan Krishna, Chander Prakash, K Sriram, Y Gangadhar, Harish, Mukundam, Kiran, Rajesham, women activists Karuna, Pushpalatha, Yadamma and others.
