Huzurnagar ticket becomes an issue in Congress
The party ticket for the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency bypoll has become an issue in the Congress as a leader of the constituency being supported by Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy has thrown his hat into the ring.
Hyderabad: The party ticket for the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency bypoll has become an issue in the Congress as a leader of the constituency being supported by Malkajgiri MP A Revanth Reddy has thrown his hat into the ring.
Chamala Kiran Reddy, who has been supported by Revanth Reddy has written a letter to party incharge and AICC general secretary RC Khuntia on Saturday to consider his name for the ticket of the Huzurnagar byelection.
It may be recalled that Revanth Reddy has raised objection over announcement of N Padmavathi Reddy as candidate of the party from Huzurnagar by TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy.
Revanth said that Kiran Reddy was a local and his candidature should be considered. The MP said that the PCC president could not announce the name of the candidate without clearance from the AICC.
