Congress candidate for Huzurnagar bypoll N Padmavathi Reddy has urged the people of the constituency to bless her as they had done earlier with regard to her husband and Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee chief Uttam Kumar Reddy, who had developed the constituency considerably in his tenure.

On Tuesday, Padmavathi Reddy carried out an election campaign in Mattapally, NCL Colony, Ramachandrapuram, Bheemla Thanda, Bojya Thanda, Krishna Thanda, Gurrambodu Thanda and Sultanpur Thanda of Mattampally mandal in the constituency.

During her poll campaign, she interacted with tribals of respective Thandas and enquired about their problems. She assured to address them once she gets elected as the MLA.

Addressing the people at various Thandas, the Congress candidate condemned the allegations levelled against Uttam Kumar Reddy and his contributions towards the development of the region. Padmavathi briefed the works carried out by Uttam in Huzurnagar constituency as an MLA and also as a Minister.

She further explained the progress of Huzurnagar constituency with facts and figures before and after Uttam became MLA of the constituency.

She alleged that rich State like Telangana became a debt-ridden in a short span of six years due to visionless schemes of the State government, and the people of all sections of the society have been suffering due to TRS government's anti-people policies and pending promises made during the Assembly, local body and Parliament elections.

Party local leaders and supporters accompanied the Congress candidate.
