Huzurnagar: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief and Nalgonda MP N Uttam Kumar Reddy said the byelection to Huzurnagar constituency will bring significant change in State politics and exuded confidence that party candidate Padmavathi will win the seat with thumping majority.
The MP along with other leaders and party cadre accompanied Padmavathi to the returning officer in Huzurnagar for filing of nomination. Speaking to media, Uttam Kumar Reddy described the survey by TRS in Huzurnagar which said that pink party would win as bogus and alleged that TRS candidate SSaidi Reddy was a native of Yamaram village, Dachepally mandal in Guntur district of AP.
He questioned TRS leaders about the development of Huzurnagar constituency by State government in past six years. He raised objections over remarks of Legislative council chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy and informed that he will bring the matter to the notice of EC for necessary action.
Party candidate Padmavathi speaking to media stated that the Congress has strong base in Huzurnagar constituency and added that her husband Uttam Kumar Reddy's valuable contributions and development works as an MLA will help her win the byelection with huge majority.
Three nominations were received for Huzurnagar byelection on Thursday. N Padmavathi Reddy (Congress), former MLA and wife of Uttam Kumar Reddy filed her nomination papers. Two IndependentsM Raghuma Reddy and G Bansila also entered the fray. Thus far five candidates filed nominations for the byelection.
