Headless government departments throw Kamareddy administration out of gear
Its been four years that Kamareddy district came into existence and since then, adjustment became a routine for the staff of various departments

All government departments must have district-level officers to work towards the district's progress. Many government departments in the district are facing various administrational issues due to the lack of permanent officers. All the 24 departments are being run by in-charge officers.
During districts reorganisation in 2016, some officials of various government departments managed to go to their favourite places on deputation by way of recommendation. In-charge officers were posted in the chairs of those, who have gone on deputation or transfer.
When Kamareddy emerged as a district, secondary-level officers from the parent district Nizamabad were sent here to serve. Also, a few officials of other districts have been promoted and posted as district officials on transfer.
Though districts were bifurcated, one senior officer has to look after some departments of both Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts even today, which they can't do justice. At sometimes, even the in-charge of two districts is not available in any of these two districts.
District Panchayat Officer Naresh went on leave for seven months and returned to duty on Wednesday (June 1). He went on a long leave seeking transfer from here, but his plan didn't succeed. Bu tall these seven months district administration was managed by in-charges only.
Almost all district departments of medical and health, agriculture, survey and land records, public relations, women welfare, minority welfare, cooperative, SC welfare, Markfed, audit, roads & vuildings, weights and measurements, RWS, marketing, BC welfare, labour, pay & accounts, firefighters, food safety, adult education, pollution control, district revenue office, zilla parishad (CEO) are being maintained by in-charge officers only.
Assistant Commissioner for f Endowment Department and District Sainik Welfare Officers have not been appointed from the first day of district formation.
The district administration was derailed with the absence of district officers for various departments. In the absence of regular officers, the employees of the respective departments are allegedly not following office timings and majority of the employees, who perform duties at the Collectorate are coming late to the duty. Sometimes, they come to the office 12.30 pm also. Being in-charge officers, they seem to be unable to take a hard stand on employees at grassroot levels.
