The High Court on Friday directed the Telangana government to postpone SSC exams in the state in the view of the coronavirus outbreak.
The High Court on Friday directed the Telangana government to postpone SSC exams in the state in the view of the coronavirus outbreak. The court asked the education department to reschedule the exams that are scheduled between March 23 to March 30.
It will be decided later if the exams scheduled between March 30 and April 6 will be held as per the time table, said the court.
The SSC exams in Telangana began on March 19 and a total of 2,530 exam centres have been set up for the conduct of exams. As many as, 5,10,461 students registered for the exams out of which 5,08,457 have appeared.
The students were seen appearing for the exams with masks as a precautionary measure to avoid getting infected by the coronavirus. Special rooms were also arranged for the students attending the exams with suspected coronavirus symptoms. Besides, medical officers, medicines and ORS packets were also arranged at the exam centres.
