Hyderabad: Telangana Vaidya Vidhana Parishad (TVVP) has decided to distribute tabs (tablet devices) to gynaecologists working in all Area and District Hospitals as well as CHCs (Community Health Centres) across the State.

The decision was taken to facilitate doctors to store health records of pregnant women visiting their hospitals and monitor their antenatal treatment and delivery process closely.

Initially, the tabs were given to gynaecologists working in 38 hospitals in various districts. It was observed that C-sections were somewhat highest in these hospitals compared to other hospitals under TVVP.

Senior officials held a meeting with Superintendents and gynecologists of these hospitals and sought related information and enquired with them why C-sections were not coming down.

They were asked to take awareness and sensitisation drives to ensure normal deliveries, especially for women undergoing first deliveries.
