The members of Governors’ Sub-Committee on Agriculture and Allied sectors visited agricultural farms at Kurukshetra in Haryana on Wednesday.

Hyderabad: The members of Governors' Sub-Committee on Agriculture and Allied sectors visited agricultural farms at Kurukshetra in Haryana on Wednesday. Tealngana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan observed that the farming community should adopt organic farming and reduce or avoid usage of pesticides.

The sub-committee felt the need of zero budget natural farming. The members also discussed various issues related to use of organic manure and other agricultural related issues. The committee would submit its report to the President in an ensuing Governor's conference scheduled to be held in the first week November.

Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Haryana Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvra and Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon were part of the committee.
