Governor ESL Narasimhan opens GVK EMRI advanced emergency care facility
Governor ESL Narasimhan on Saturday inaugurated the ultra modern, state-of-the-art GVK EMRI Emergency Care Simulation Complex at the GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute's (GVK EMRI) main campus in Secunderabad .
Hyderabad: Governor ESL Narasimhan on Saturday inaugurated the ultra modern, state-of-the-art GVK EMRI Emergency Care Simulation Complex at the GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute's (GVK EMRI) main campus in Secunderabad .
The simulation complex has been commissioned with a grant from the Tata Trusts and aims to provide simulation-based medical education using sophisticated and technically advanced manikins enabling students to evaluate, perform and repeat the same exercises until they get the procedure right.
Dr GVK Reddy, Founder and Chairman, GVK said that this world class emergency care simulation complex is most modern and equipped with technically advanced . " We will also look to train healthcare providers from developing countries in the near future", he added.
Emergency management and life support skill gaps have been identified on a very large scale across India amongst doctors, nurses and para medical staff by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Simulation Complex has been commissioned with the objective of equipping the trainees with the requisite skills, Reddy said.
He further said that GVK EMRI has left no stone unturned to reach out to the needy through its helpline and specific segment oriented focused services as an offshoot of the vast expertise gained through the last 12 years of 108 EMS operations across the length and breadth of its operational states in India.
