Global companies keen on investing in Telangana: Minister KTR
IT and Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao stated that many global companies are keen on making major investments in Telangana.
Hyderabad: IT and Industries Minister K. Tarakarama Rao stated that many global companies are keen on making major investments in Telangana. He made the above comments at a review meeting with the HoDs of IT and Industries departments at the MCRHRD institution in Hyderabad today.
The officials informed Minister KTR that Hatsun Agro Product Ltd will be setting up India's largest ice cream manufacturing facility in the Sangareddy district. The company will commence its commercial operations during the month of October 2020.
Hatsun will be setting up its unit with a capital investment of Rs. 207 Crores and create more than 250 direct and 250 indirect employment opportunities. The unit will also benefit more than 4,000 dairy farmers in the region.

In the meeting, Minister KTR stated that major companies from the food processing sector are keen to invest in Telangana and the announcements of the same will be made soon. He said that the Government will provide complete assistance to the companies which are willing to invest in the state.
During the meeting, the Minister instructed the officials to make plans towards decentralizing the IT sector in Hyderabad to ensure its growth is spread across the city. He stated that the efforts of the government to boost the IT sector in the tier 2 cities of the state are yielding good results.
Minister KTR will be inaugurating Karimnagar IT Tower on February 18, 2020.
Telangana Govt's prototyping facility T-Works and T-Hub Phase 2 are also getting ready for inauguration soon.
