Elaborate arrangements for Sharan Navaratri celebrations in Nirmal
Endowments, Forests and Environment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy directed the officials to make foolproof arrangements to avoid inconvenience to the devotees during Dasara Navaratri celebrations, which will begin from September 29 and conclude on October 8.

Addressing at a Bathukamma co-ordination committee meeting at the Collector conference hall in Nirmal on Tuesday, the Minister said that district people are very lucky to have Basara Gyana Saraswathi temple.
As Sri Sharada Sharan Navaratri celebrations will begin at Basara temple From September 29, he told the officials concerned to make elaborate arrangements and take measures so as not to give troubles to devotees.
The officials were further ordered to work with the coordination to make the festival successful. During the Navaratri celebrations, devotees will come from different places and districts to have Goddess Gyana Saraswati darshan.
The Minister instructed the police department to tighten security to maintain safety and security, to arrange CCTV cameras, and to utilise IIIT students, staff services. Officials were told to provide healthy food and to provide medical services.
District Collector M Prashanthi said Bathukamma and Sharan Navaratri celebrations will be well organised. She instructed the Superintendent of Police to tighten security to prevent any untoward incidents during the celebrations. Joint Collector A Bhaskar Rao has been appointed as the special officer to monitor the festival arrangements.
The officials were told to utilise volunteer services as much as they can; to arrange laddu prasadam distribution centers at bus and railway stations. Collector Prashanthi further ordered to supply special T shirts to all the volunteers and the District Medical and Health Officer was told to provide 24-hour medical facilities and to make sure that doctors, ANMs, medicines, 102, 108, 104 emergency vehicles are available.
She directed the officials not to allow boats without license in the river and to provide bus facility. The officials were also told to provide safe drinking water facility, testing the water before supply; sanitation department staff told to maintain cleanliness and to clean the premises; R and B department staff were told to fill pot holes with gravel and electricity department was told to provide uninterrupted power supply.
Minister Indrakaran Reddy released Gyana Saraswathi Devasthanam, Sharan Navaratri invitation card and calendar on the occasion.
Zilla Parishad chairperson K Vijaya Lakshmi, Joint Collector A Bhaskar Rao, SP Shashidhar Raju, ASP Bhainsa Rajesh Bhalla, FACS chairman Ramkishan Reddy, DSP Upendar Reddy, DRDO Venkateshwarlu, Basara Temple EO Vinod Kumar Reddy, RDO Prasunamba, district officers and others were present.
