Vikarabad: District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam on Wednesday exhorted the women from fifth ward of Allampally village to segregate waste before handing it over to the municipal staff. She explained to the women about the uses about the segregation of waste.

The Collector said that the governments in some countries charge for collecting the waste, but here the government was collecting waste from the doorsteps of people. She asked the women of self-help groups to sensitise rural women about the segregation of waste.

She advised them to keep two dustbins ready for the purpose. DWCRA women from the locality submitted a memorandum to the Collector to sanction a building for them. Municipal Commissioner Bhogeshwarlu was also present.
