The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders on Friday said the elected Congress MLAs have utilised their Constitutional rights for merging CLP into TRSLP.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders on Friday said the elected Congress MLAs have utilised their Constitutional rights for merging CLP into TRSLP.

Addressing a press conference here MLC Satyavathi Rathod and G Ramchandra Rao said the Congress MLAs had majority and as per the majority, they have decided to merge CLP with TRS.

Satyavathi Rathod alleged that the Congress leaders were insulting the Dalit leaders by stating that they are being purchased like sheep in the market. She said that the MLAs have decided to join TRS only for development of their constituencies.

The Congress leaders cannot question the rights of the MLAs, she said. She further said people are in favour of the TRS and the MPTC and ZPTC polls once again prove that people are for the TRS.

She asked the Congress party leaders to at least save their remaining MLAs from deserting their party.

G Ramchandra Rao asked what happened to democracy when Congress party poached ten MLAs from TRS during Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government.

He also asked why the Congress party took away one sitting MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy and three other MLCs of TRS K Yadava Reddy, S Ramulu Naik and R Bhupathi Reddy just before elections.

He said that questioning Speaker's decision is insulting Constitution and B R Ambedkar.
