Vanasthalipuram: Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat launched the 'Nenu Saitham', community CCTV cameras at the Goods Transport office at Autonagar here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, he expressed his happiness over Aegis Automation India Pvt Ltd and Goods Transport Office in jointly installing 26 CCTV cameras costing Rs 28 lakh.
"We can establish a crime-free society if everyone uses this technology. Rachakonda Commissionerate is aiming to sensitize people to have the cameras installed near every house.
Every CC camera is equal to 100 police personnel," he added.
Aegis Automation India Pvt Ltd is having 19 years of experience.
Project Head Santosh Reddy said it is one stop solution for all.
The project includes covering of all the centers and main roads.
The footages will be monitored through teleconferencing on a daily basis.
The Commissioner directed corporate bodies to come forward in installing CCTV cameras as part of their CSR programme.
Ibrahimpatnam Assistant Commissioner of Police P Yadagiri Reddy, Vanasthalipuram Circle-Inspector of Police Venkataiah, Sub-Inspector Raju, goods transport leaders and others were present on the occasion.
