Collector Amoy Kumar suspends Mellacheruvu,Chintalapalem Tahsildars in Suryapet

Suryapet: District Collector Amoy Kumar on Tuesday has suspended Mellacheruvu Tahsildar Dugyala Shankaraiah and Chintalapalem Tahsildar Baba Sharfuddin for dereliction of duties and absenteeism without any prior information.

So far, the District Collector had suspended three Tahsildars, one deputy Tahsildar and 11 Village Revenue Officers in the district. Collector, in his meetings with revenue staff, has been repeatedly warning that he would not tolerate negligence of duties with regard to farmers' land issues.

Earlier, Tahsildar Baba Sharifuddin worked in Chintalapalem during election time and requested for transfer to his own district.

Employee associations have been expressing their concern over the suspension of Baba Sharifuddin as he has been undergoing treatment at a hospital for the last one week.
