Collection of garbage given up by civic body

Narayankhed: The Swachh Bharat programme has been going on in full swing in the district. The District Collector has given a fervent call to the employees to take up clean and green programme at all the offices. But the situation is somewhat different in Narayankhed municipality.

The town has a population of approximately 30,000. But it is alleged that the municipality failed in collection of garbage. It has one tractor and two tricycles to collect waste in the town. These two tricycles are dysfunctional for quite some time.

No official bothered to repair them for the purpose. Children are playing with the tricycles which are not in condition. People appeal to the authorities to repair the tricycles for the collection of waste.
