Khammam: The Bharatiya Janata Party government has failed to implement the welfare schemes it has promised to workers, stated National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) general secretary SA Zaleel, while addressing the media at the Congress party office in Khammam on Thursday. He informed that seeking redressal of several issues of the workers, a nation-wide strike would be conducted on January 8. He called up on the workers to support the strike and make it a huge success.

Alleging that BJP government was trying to privatise every sector, he said for the protection of workers the INTUC would fight against the government. Stating that suicides of farmers were more under the BJP regime, he said BJP government was also responsible for the financial crises the country was staring at. Leaders of the INTUC and the Congress party attended the meeting.
