BJP confident of wresting Nizamabad
BJP candidate will win in Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency as the voters decided to teach a lesson to the TRS, according to State BJP president K Laxman on Saturday.
Hyderabad: BJP candidate will win in Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency as the voters decided to teach a lesson to the TRS, according to State BJP president K Laxman on Saturday.
Addressing media here, he said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his son K T Rama Rao issued anti-Hindu statements. They were not only provocative but also insulting.
Such a statement would surely impact the outcome of the election, he felt,
Claiming that there was a silent revolution among the youth and people across the State in the villages against the TRS, he said, "The pro-Narendra Modi wave and the anti-Hindu provocative statement of the TRS leaders, particularly that of KCR and KTR, will have an impact on the outcome in Karimnagar, Warangal, Nizamabad and other places in the State, "he said.
The State BJP chief criticised the statements of KTR on the issue of the BJP's proposal to implement the National Citizens Registry (NRC) across the country. He said the party chief Amit Shah had announced that his party would implement NRC if came to power at the Centre. This was done keeping in view the integrity and security of the country.
Recalling how the roots of several terror attacks and bomb blasts had been traced to the Hyderabad, he criticized KTR for maligning the NRC as a proposal to target Muslims. Laxman said that terror would not have any colour or religion and the NRC was proposed to ensure national security, whether those illegally entered were Muslims or Hindus or others, he added.
However, the TRS leaders who are hand in glove with the AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and they were trying to play vote bank politics.
He demanded that the State government run by the TRS must deport the Rohingyas and Bangladesh nationals illegally settling in Hyderabad.
Laxman said both KCR and KTR had never spoken on the plight of Kashmiri Pundits driven away from their homeland and making them migrants in their own country.
