Karimnagar: Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy appealed to the people to be aware of fire accidents as they would engulf not only property but also lives of the people. He participated as a chief guest at the programme of fire accidents and preventive steps organised by the officials of fire department here in police parade grounds on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, CP Kamalasan Reddy said that if the equipment that can extinguish fire is present then one can minimise the loss of property and lives. Due to fire accidents that are taking place every year, property worth thousands of crores and lives are being lost. It is a must that people should be aware of fire accidents and preventive steps, he observed.
If gas is leaked from cylinders in a house, people should not get panic. Gas cylinders will never blast out, people should know this, he said.
The officials of fire department are taking all necessary measures to overcome fire accidents and are taking preventive steps without caring their lives. They are also conducting awareness programmes among the people, he informed.
The CP said that the fire department officials are giving training to police personnel of other departments about the measure to be taken to prevent fire accidents and he appreciated the fire officials after observing their demonstration during the occasion.
Divisional Officer of Fire Department T Venkanna, Additional DCP Chandra Mohan, SI Indrasen, RIs Mallesh, Johny Miya and Jammikunta SFO G Srinivas were present along with others.
