Arrangements in place for civic polls in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: All set for municipal polls, informed Joint Collector K Venkateswarlu, during a meeting conducted with municipal officials in Kothagudem on Monday.

Addressing the officials, he informed that 85 polling stations were set up in Kothagudem municipality and 48 polling stations in Yellandu municipality. He added that flying squads and officers were appointed to oversee polls.

Adding that taking prior permission for public meetings and campaigning programmes mandatory, the Joint Collector said that all candidates must follow the rules set by the Election Commission. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the officials and make sure that polls are held sans any untoward incidents.
