All 26 crest gates of NSP lifted as inflows increase

Officials of Nagarjunasagar project were forced to lift all 26 gates as the project is getting huge inflows from upstream Srisailam dam on Friday evening.
Nagarjunasagar: Officials of Nagarjunasagar project were forced to lift all 26 gates as the project is getting huge inflows from upstream Srisailam dam on Friday evening.According to NSP SE Vijaya Karan Reddy, the project is getting an inflow of 3.47 lakh cusecs and outflows from 26 crest gates of the project recorded as 4.29 lakh cusecs.
The present water level in NSP reservoir is 311.44 TMC at 589.80 feet against 312 TMC at 590 feet. According to officials, the huge flood flows would continue for another two days.
