Speaking on the occasion, AIDWA district secretary Macharla Bharathi said, "This incident puts the whole society to shame. A mother who trusted the medical system was betrayed. Child birth should be a private thing, where in no third person besides mother and doctor should be allowed to see. The medical staff in Khammam government hospital took the video without the consent of mother and shared it on social media giving no regard for professional ethics."
Macharla Bharathi also demanded immediate arrest of all responsible for the incident. Association vice-president Merugu Ramana, district committee members' Saraswathi, Ramya, Ajitha, Nagamani and others took part in the protest.
