64-yr-old man knocked down by speeding lorry, dies in Nalgonda

The deceased was identified as Pandiri Yadaiah (64), a native of Chityal town in the district and by profession a trader and an agent of Life Insurance Corporation.
According to police and the locals, Yadaiah along with his wife Kalamma was returning to Chityal on Wednesday in a car after celebrating Dasara festival at their kin's house in Madhira of Khammam district.
Yadaiah stopped his car at Mallanagutta located on the outskirts of Inupamula and got out of the car to attend a phone call. While, he was talking over phone while resting at the rear end of the car, a Hyderabad-bound lorry coming in same direction of the car lost control and turned turtle after hitting Yadaiah and his car. In this incident, Yadaiah suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. While, Kalamma, who was inside the car was safe.
Upon receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to Government hospital in Nakrekal for post-mortem. Based on the complaint of deceased man's wife, Ketepally SI Rama Krishna registered a case and took up the investigation.
