2-day workshop held for TMREIS teachers
34 TGT English teachers of TMR schools across TS were trained at the workshop held by US consulate. The aim of the workshop was to engage teachers in the best teaching methodologies. The session was designed to enable teachers to discover their strength, dynamism and professional development that enhances self-reliance and motivation among students
Hyderabad: 34 Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) English teachers of Telangana Minority Residential (TMR) schools get trained during a two-day workshop, which was concluded on Wednesday.
According to organizers, a two-day workshop on 'Communicative Language Teaching: Paradigm Shift in Focus and Techniques' was held by the US Consulate General, Hyderabad, and Regional English Language Office, US Embassy, New Delhi, in partnership with Telangana Minorities Residential Institutions Society (TMREIS) in Hyderabad, where 34 TGT English teachers of TMR schools from various parts of Telangana State were trained.
TMREIS Secretary B Shafiullah said that educational institutions and teachers from all over the world are united by a shared commitment to provide quality education to the students, so as to prepare them to be global citizens in the 21st century.
The aim of the workshop was to engage teachers in the best teaching methodologies. The session was designed to enable teachers to discover their strength and dynamism and to improve professional development that enhances self-reliance and motivation among the students.
Addressing the valedictory programme of the workshop, Akash Suri, Acting Public Affairs Officer US Consulate General, Hyderabad, stated that teaching and learning can be an exciting and a joyous experience.
Hence, teachers certainly need to keep the levels of knowledge, creativity, energy and enthusiasm high.
Senthil Kumar Thirupati, cultural affairs assistant officer and program manager of RELO and Salil Khader, cultural affairs advisor, were present on the occasion.
The workshop was successfully conducted by Robin Cathey, an English language fellow.
