Around 131 teachers have bagged with the State Best Teacher award. Telangana Minister for Education Jagadish Reddy presented the awards at Ravindra Bharati on the occasion of the Teacher's Day. The award included a medal, certificate of merit, shawl and a cash award of Rs 10,000.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that teacher's play an important role in a student's life and they struggle to ensure that their students excelled.

Out of the 131 teachers, 43 are from School Education, 50 from Collegiate Education, 10 from Intermediate Education, nine from Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Telangana Backward Classes Residential Educational Institutions Society, six from TSWREIS, five from TWREIS, three from technical education and two from TMREIS.
