12 new Covid-19 cases in Mahbubnagar district
As many as 12 new positive cases have been reported across erstwhile Mahbubnagar district region in just two days.
Mahbubnagar: As many as 12 new positive cases have been reported across erstwhile Mahbubnagar district region in just two days. According to district health officials, all these cases are either infected from persons who have come recently from other States or from Hyderabad to their native place after the relaxation of the lock down.
With this, the overall counts of Covid-19 cases in the entire 5 districts of Palamuru region including Mahbubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Narayanpet, Gadwal and Wanaparthy has reached to 120 and of them 10 people have reportedly died after falling ill due to the deadly virus. On Thursday and Friday alone 6 cases each were reported in Wanaparthy, Mahbubnagar region. For the first time 3 cases of Corona positive cases were reported in Balakistapur village of Atmakur mandal of Wanaparthy district, another 3 cases were also registered from Buddaram village of Gopalpet mandal from the same district. All together 16 people identified as primary contacts have been put to home quarantine in both the cases. In Mahbubnagar district a healthcare staff and 3 of his family members were infected with Corona virus, similarly in Narayanpet district a TRS party activists from Makthal mandal is also reported to have contracted with Corona virus. Overall in just two days, there have been 12 people have been infected with the deadly virus.
According to Dr. Shashikanth, Covid-19 Nodel officer from Mahbubnagar, the main reason for the emergence of new cases is due to rampant movement of public without adhering to safety norms. "Even though the state and central governments have strictly instructed to wear face masks and use hand sanitizers regularly to keep away from being infected with the deadly virus, many are not following it and getting infected. It is high time each and every person must act responsibly and must wear face masks and ensure containing of further spread of the deadly virus. We are continuously monitoring the cases and taking appropriate measures to create awareness among the public and contain the deadly virus," said Dr. Shashikanth.
